The 3D commands from this Rhino Commands Guide can be applied to your workflow and any project.

A command prompts the Rhino software to perform different functions to facilitate and speed 3D modeling. All commands can be entered into Rhino’s command line.

3D Rhino Commands Guide:

EXPLODE – Breaks down objects into components.

Activate the Explode command in the Edit Menu by selecting Explode.

CAP – Closes a split or extruded object to form a solid. This command is not only for planar surfaces.

Activate the Cap command in the Solid Menu and click on Cap Planar Holes. 

CLIPPINGPLANE – Shows a cut through a particular part of an object without actually splitting it in the model.

Activate the ClippingPlane command in the View Menu by selecting Viewport, and clicking on Clipping Plane.

CLOSECRV – Closes a curve.

Activate the CloseCrv command in the Curve Menu, choose Curve Edit Tools, and click Close Curve.

COPY – Copies an object from a specific spot multiple times.

Activate the Copy command in the Transform Menu and click on Copy. 

CURVE – Draws a spline.

Activate the Curve command in the Curve Menu choose Free-Form, and click Control Points.

DISTANCE – Measures the distance between 2 objects.

Activate the Distance command in the Analyze Menu and click on Distance.

DUPEDGE – Duplicates the edge of an object.

Activate the DupEdge command in the DupEdge Menu, choose Curve From Objects, and click on Duplicate Edge.
